Paper lanterns

I want to use the paper lanterns instead of a mobile, but I'm worried about one thing. I know this may sound stupid, but my crib bedding is all SQUARES. I wonder if it will look weird to have all squares and then these round lanterns hanging in the room. I don't like the look of the square lanterns, so that isn't an option. What's your opinion? Am I being ridiculous? Here's a pic of my bedding.

Re: Paper lanterns

  • I actually think it would look nice with the round lanterns, kinda break it up a bit :-) GL!

  • We're using the same bedding and planning on using round lanterns...I think it'll be fine. Have you decided on your wall colors yet?
  • I love the link....thanks for sharing! I guess it will look good!

As far as colors, we are putting up beadboard and painting the bottom chocolate brown and the top will be done after LO gets here. We aren't finding out the sex and will paint accordingly. Either the melon color for a girl, and the green or blue for a boy. I figure the baby will be downstairs with us for awhile so we'll just air the room out really well, before we move LO upstairs. I'm trying to talk DH into letting us have the name of the colors picked out and letting family paint while we are at the hospital still, but he's not so keen on the idea...he's a perfectionist and handyman/home renovations is his job, so I don't think that will work out...we'll see!Big Smile

That's a cute idea. We didn't know the gender of our first and waited until we came home to have the room painted. This time we know and I'm excited to get things done! Good luck!
