So my DD -- 10 months -- goes down for naps fine. Sleeps 3 hours.
Used to Sleep through the night -- but now ....... HELP!
She goes to bed like 7:45, lies down and then starts laughing and standing in the crib. At 8:30 -- she finally crashes after me trying to get her down over and over.
THEN she wakes at 11:30 and cries and wants to come in with me. I try to make her go back to sleep, but as soon as I put her down - she's crying again. I work full time and need SOME sleep -- so she comes into my bed and sleeps like a champ.
Phase ? Separation Anxiety ? Advice ?
THANKS!
Re: Standing in crib at night - and then my bed around midnght
first of all if she's laughing and standing in her crib there is no need for you go to in there to put her back down....she will eventually lay down to go to sleep.
When she wakes up again of course she's gonna cry because you kept going in earlier in the evening and she knows you are gonna bring her in your bed.
So tonight dont go in there is she is not crying...its ok if she's standing and laughing. If she wakes up again later give her about 5 minutes before you go in there to rub her back and such and then leave...keep doing this until she falls asleep. It will be rough for you but it will work.
If you wanna co-sleep then I suggest you bring her into your bed when you put her to bed.
I agree with Kris. There is no need to go in and put her back down. She *will* eventually comfort herself and fall asleep.
Don't bring her to your bed. You're only creating more problems if you do that.
THANKS LADIES !! I totally Agree with you! Just needed to hear it!
You're very welcome!
