Securing a bumper?

I just got the crib and realized there is no way of securing the top of the bumper to the front of the crib. Below is the crib and I assumed there would be some way behind the front to tie into it - but no.

What should I do?

Re: Securing a bumper?

  • dont use your bumper sounds like the best choice in your situation...I saw somewhere that you can turn your bumper into a vallance... They tied ribbon every so often and then tied that to the curtain rod...Im assuming sewed or witchery stiched the sides where they cut the bumper to fit the window.  It was cute!

  • Against advice I too have a crib bumper, however I have decided to not use the front bumper (not for the same reasons as yours). I don't feel that it is needed and this allows more air flow to the baby's face anyway.
  • I agree with PP's, looks like you're out of luck.  At least, for now.  Once baby gets bigger and you lower the mattress, the bumper may fit within the slats.  Which, really, this is when they'll need the bumper anyway.  They don't move around much at first.
