Surprise shower hostess gift???

So my "surprise" shower is sunday, my sister is the hostess and doesn't know that I know about the shower. So my question is do I hold off on giving her the gift? I would hate for her to find out that some one blew the surprise, she'd be heart broken. Do I just say that I knew the shower was coming up evenually and have been carring the gift with me just in case?

definitely wait - don't make her feel badly that the surprise was ruined! plus i don't think a shower hostess gift has to come on the shower. i would give it to her afterwards (like the next time you see her) as a thank you.
