TTC after 35

So far, so good.

First off, thanks to everyone for you kind and encouraging words during my recent freak outs.

So, I had my baseline u/s this morning and they did the AFC. 15 total follicles. 9 on the right, 6 on the left. Looks like that falls in the the low end of the "normal" range. Very relieved.

Now I have to wait for a call this afternoon to find out my FSH and E2 numbers? So I'm still nervous. Anyone know if there is any correlation between a good AFC and low FSH/E2 levels?

Re: So far, so good.

  • Freak outs are Aokay 'round here.

No answer on the correlation, but just YAHOO on so far so good. Big Smile

  • YAY! Glad the results are good so far!

  • Glad that so far everything is good.  Good luck with all the rest!
  • That's wonderful that you are getting some good news. Hopefully everything else you hear will be just as good. Keep us posted.

  • Just got the call: Bloodwork- FSH/E2/LH all normal. Of course, the nurse called during the 2 minutes I was away from my desk to use the rr so I didn't get the actual numbers. I'm going to email her to ask..

Now I can stop worrying about my ovaries being done. And move on to worrying about something else.

  • YAY!!  I am so glad for you!!

You sound like me -- I think I might break down and do the FR fertility FSH test at home.  Since I don't think my insurance will pay for any testing for a few more months and I'm 39 1/2!

  • That's great! I hope all the rest of the results are good too.?
  • Glad to hear everything came back normal!  See, all that worrying for nothing.  Smile

  • Don't know the correlation for sure, but I have a good FSH (6.8) and about the same follicle count as you. ?Also, your AFC can vary based on the ultrasound tech. Sometimes follicles "hide". ?I actually think I had more AF's this cycle than I did my first IUI cycle. ?Don't know if that helps at all, but I am glad to see your good results!
