I woke up this morning, had a glass of water then a bowl of cereal. About 45 minutes later I was on the train and started feeling sick to my stomach. Then I broke out into a cold sweat, my hearing went, then everything turned white. It lasted about 3 minutes & I thought I was going to pass out but didn't.
When I got into work I called the nurse at my OB's office and she told me it was most likely low blood sugar, but I thought that was strange b/c I had already eaten breakfast. Has anything like this happened to anyone? Was the cause low blood sugar?
Thanks :-)
Re: Thought I was going to pass out on the train this a.m.
i had this happen a couple months ago - and it was low blood PRESSURE causing it. My OB had me come in and checked me out- and my bp was quite low. She said to increase my caffiene and salt intake (i was not having any caffiene at all before then and trying to limit salts)..... once i started to do this- it got better.
in Feb i had one more issue of feeling dizzy- so i ate a bag of chips- and then was fine.
i'd have your BP checked out. I'm sure it was not low blood sugar since you had cereal for breakfast. BP will do it to you - easily- and is quite common with pg- esp multiples. Get it checked out so you don't pass out while driving!!
