My girls are identical! (?)

I got the results of the DNA test that I sent away for last week - and it says that my girls are identical! 

Even though the DNA company I used (DNA Solutions, www.dnanow.com) seems reputable, I have this sneaking suspicion that the findings aren't real.  I don't know - something about having to buy the test online makes me skeptical.  And the test was a bit cheaper than others on the maket ($99). 

WDYT? If you got a test online, did you feel like it was 100% true?  I guess I have no reason to believe that it isn't accurate... I think I watch too much Dateline!

This post sounds just like mine from Friday.....I found out my boys that I thought were fraternal are really identical!  I used Affiliated Genetics, and it  was $160.  They say it is greater than 99% accurate, but I can't help wondering like you.  If you check out my post, it seems like several people had the same situation...thought fraternal but turned out to be identical....I guess we're not alone!  Congratulations on knowing for sure (or as sure as we can be!)

Casey, your girls look identical to me- I always thought they were! I did Affliated Genetics and wonder too, if they got it wrong- but every other person on the planet who sees them thinks they are identical. We can't tell them apart in a lot of pictures too, which makes me go.. hmmm... maybe they really truely are ID!

maybe we should have someone like me- who's girls are clearly fraternal - do a test through them and see if it comes back identical :-)    Then will know if it's  sham, hehe.    Seriously, though, njarvis, I've always thought your boys looked very alike and OP, your girls look very similar to me, too.   I think faery is right....you guys are just very close to them and see all their tiny differences.

OK - for the 1st 2 posters, IMO your girls and your boys look identical to me.  My three girls are identical and they have the same features but they look slightly different.  As pea-kay said, b/c they are your little ones and you've known them since day 1, maybe you don't see it.

i think your girls look identical and the pp's boys look identical as well. I wouldn't be able to tell them apart. My guess is it's accurate, but if you've always thought they are fraternal, I can see how mailing a little envelope away might make you question it. I don't see any advantage to them saying ID when they're frats, so I'd be inclined to trust it.
