will the drs do another step test? i tested pos with my first and wondering if i will just be treated for this delivery or if the will do another test? i have an appt in a week, but i always forget to ask. also when do internals start?

Mine does...I was positive for #2 also...haven't been tested for #3 yet.

mine just assumed I'd have it again and didn't bother to test.

I was tested again and was positive again. My doc said they used to just assume you were positive if you were with #1 but that isn't the thinking anymore.

Group B Strep comes and goes. It's one of those things that might be in your system one month and gone the next (or vice versa). That's why they wait until the end of pregnancy to test for it. Whether or not you had it during the last pregnancy has no bearing on whether or not you have it now. So yes, they should test again.

Yes, I tested positive with my first but they say that it's just present all the time, all around and lots of people have it and don't even know it, so they'll definitely be testing you again this time around.
