Ikea Leksvik crib?

DH is an engineer which means he needs to plan (obsess) out things.

I realize it is early to be thinking about this by about... oh say, 4 months?

But I digress. DH is looking at the IKEA Leksvik crib and I have to admit it's nifty looking.

Does anyone have this crib?

Thoughts? Feedback?

Re: Ikea Leksvik crib?

  • i don't have them yet- but i'm getting these for the twins.

we have tons of Ikea furniture that has been great- and lasted through 3 moves- very sturdy.

there are great reviews online for Ikea cribs - esp moms of multiples loving them b/c they tend to take up less space (no curved wood edges, etc)... and you can't beat the price- esp for the Leksvik which can then become a toddler bed which is why i love it.

i think we're going on friday to pick them up - and should have them put together a week later after the nursery is painted - so ask again then and I'll let you know what I think :)

  • Saw this in store and it's very nice.  It's a very short crib, which is probably good since it doesn't have drop sides.  However, I was disappointed at the shakiness of it.  It doesn't seem as solid as other cribs I've seen.  Perhaps it doesn't matter, as I've only really heard good things about it, but I've chosen to go with something more solid.
