I am starting to not sleep well...and not jsut cuz I pee every 2 hours!! So I was thinking about getting one but had to check in here and see if you liked yours or found something else mosre useful!
I use two king size pillows, one on each side, regular size pillows work just as well for me too. I didn't want to spend the money on a special pregnancy pillow.
I bought the Snoogle and slept with it 2 nights and just did not like it at all. I wished I hadn't spent that much money on it. I ended up buying a $10 body pillow from Target and I love it!

There are a bunch of snoogle fans on the boards, I had a love/hate relationship with mine and it ended up on the floor most nights I tried to use it. If you turn over a lot in your sleep, the snoogle may not be a good fit for you. I was happiest with a king size pillow between my legs and a regular pillow to hug.
I received the Snoogle as a gift early on in my pg and it saved me! My hubby didn't like it too much, but I attribute that to the fact that we sleep in a full-size bed. Not much room to share anyway, so with my belly and the big pillow . . . . You get the picture. The pillow now lives in Kirsten's comfy corner in her room and will come out of hibernation eventually.
I didn't have a Snoogle for my first pregnancy, and got by with multiple pillows. I did have one for my 2nd, and boy was it a big difference! The Snoogle was soo comfy.
Seeing as I'm done with mine, you're welcome to have it if you'd like. You'd just have to come get it (I live in Fremont). :-)
I used this Boppy one that's shaped like a comma. I wouldn't have gotten through the second half of my pg without it.
I have this one. This may sound weird, but it's true--using the pillow didn't make me more comfortable, but it did pretty instantly relieve the two major sleep pains I have (hip pain and belly pain from my belly flopping to the side). I know that pain relief should equal being more comfortable, but it doesn't really. When using the pillow, I always wish I didn't have to. =(
I could never get comfortable with the regular body pillows or even the Boppy body pillow that is shaped like an apostrophe. What really worked for me was the Boppy Wedge pillow (just slip it under your tummy) and a memory foam knee pillow to keep my hips properly alligned. I think the wedge was around $17 at BRU and the knee pillow was around $20 at BB&B. I still use the knee pillow every night and pull out the wedge to help support my tummy when I'm having tummy issues and gas pains.

It was a must-have for me. I will share that I bought the huge snoogle to begin with. I found that it was just too bulky and too much pillow for me.
I then went out and got the half-sized snoogle and that worked out perfectly for me. I love that thing. Still use it on occassion now when my lower back starts to act up.
Absolutely worth it. I just replaced the one I've been using since the second half of my pregnancy as I'm still loving it (I'm a stomach sleeper usually and "the girls" are too big to go back to tummy sleeping while I'm bfing). I got this new one from Costco and it's super plush, very soft, and was less than $20.
your welcome to borrow my snoogle, i live up in rwc, maybe I will see you at a SB gtg soon?
I would love that....If we dont meet up at the same GTG then I will make a trip to you! I would love to use it for a week or so to try it, then of course I would get my own!
I loved the Snoogle, however, towards the last few weeks of my pregnancy, I ended up using pillows. For me, it was only useful for a little while. I think if I got PG again, I'd just try to tough it out with a bunch of pillows.
Re: Are body pillows worth it??
I don't have one and I regret not buying one. I just use regular pillows in the bed and it is fine but I think having a body pillow would be nicer.
Oh, I want to add that if I did get one I would probably just get a body pillow because I roll over multiple times a night.
Yes! I just got a Kmart special & was in heaven.
Some swear by the snoogle, but what I didn't know, didn't hurt.

I hope you find comfort soon!
