1st Trimester

anyone else???

For those who are staying home after the baby is born, are misserable being at work right now, just counting down the months till you don't have to work anymore?  We just made the decission that I will be staying home and being at work right now just kills me!  I don't know if it's the extreme exhaustion that I have been having lately or the fact that I know I won't have to work for much longer, so I just want to quit right now!!  Anyone have any ideas how to get through the work day and not go insane??!!  I work at a bank, but I work at a seperate drive-thru that is open till 6:30, so I am stuck working the sucky 11:00-6:30 shift everyday!!

Re: anyone else???

  • That is exactly how I felt during my first pregnancy. Luckily my job came to a kind of natural conclusion when I was about 20 weeks, so I left because it was the easiest time for them to train the new person with minimal disruptions. It was so nice to have that time off before the baby came :)

  • Just think of all us unlucky moms to be who have to go back to work after the baby for finacial reasons. Many of us are very jealous of you right now.
  • I am exhausted at work, though I have to say that working 11 - 6:30 sounds like a dream. I have been swamped since I found out and have been working about 60-70 hours or more a week.  I'm contemplating taking a nap on my office floor.  Wink
  • I feel it too.  I will be a stay at home mom when the baby comes, and I have already made that known to my office and boss.  They are all very supportive.  But I am having serious short-timer's syndrome.  But in order for me to stay home when the baby is born we need my income until deliver, so I am stuck in my 8-5 job until then.

  • I am actually contemplating becoming a stay at home mom, and the longer I work here the more I am tipping in that direction.  Even if I don't I am still counting down the days until my maternity leave!
