Hand me down crib

So my girl friend let me know months ago that her MIL nannies for a VERY well off family that was getting rid of a bunch of baby stuff. Over the last 2 months she's given me- a pack and play, a walker, 2 activity stations, a high chair, 2 bouncers and a swing. She had also mentioned that they had a crib for me, their son didn't sleep in more than twice due to co sleeping. Well my friend picked up the crib saturday and sent me pics and the style number, it's flippin Pottery Barn!! She also has the organic matteress that is spotless. I received a hand me down crib too. I was freaked out at first since there are all these warnings about them but I checked on recalls and they haven't had any. Cribs are such a huge expense. I can save that money for something else.
