Before (that's the seller's stuff in there):

After (we had a flood and had to replace the floor, a cabinet, counters & the backsplash.  We took the opportunity to replace the sink/faucet, add hardware, get a new table and change out the window treatments):

  • It looks great! ?I'm hoping we'll be able to redo our kitchen next Spring. We need new countertops, backsplash, appliances, flooring and I want to add more cabinets.?
  • Very nice! I like your table.
  • Looks great!   We are in the middle of a kitchen remodel with prtions of the walls down to the studs right now so I can appreciate how good it feels to be done.  Love your floor!

Is that a silgranite sink you have now?

  • I love it!! Did you use Corian for the counters/sink?  That's what I wanted to do, but our contractor got us the granite for about 1/2 the price...so yeah, we have the granite.

    It looks fantastic!

  • Thanks for the responses!

    To answer the questions:

-The sink is a granite composite.  It's not supposed to scratch or stain.  I love it!

-The counters are a high-resolution laminate.  We considered granite, but in our style of home/neighborhood, we'd never see the return.  We plan on moving in a year or so, so we didn't want to "waste" the money (but we totally would have preferred granite).  H wouldn't let me do a solid surface like Corian because of how easily it scratches (he works in the construction industry and has seen lots of complaints about it).

-The table is from Walmart!  I had looked elsewhere and came across it on their site.  It got fabulous reviews and was CHEAP.  I did Site-to-Store and it was $270 for the set!  It's just what I wanted and at that price, I won't be heartbroken when it inevitably gets scratched or dinged.

  • I knew that was a granite composite sink!  I am planning on getting the same kind.  I'm a little kitchen obsesed lately so I spotted your sink right away!
