Anyone else's LO HATE the car?

DS screams every single time he's in the car, unless I"m sitting in the back seat.  Obviously I can't sit in the back when I'm driving.  Does this ever end?  Any suggestions to make it better?  The poor thing breaks my heart!  When I open the door, he immediately stops, but he's a sweaty mess because he's so upset.  :-(

    It depends on the day, but yes, dd has some hard times in the car. She's not one of those babies that fall alseep right when she gets in the carseat like one of her cousins. - I just try and get to where we need to be, I'll sing to her which sometimes helps. I've made stops before, but found that doesn't really help, just getting the ride over with is what helps.

    Yes, just within the past two weeks, DD has been screaming in the car unless she has her paci in her mouth. ?I actually think its the carseat that she hates, b/c she does the same thing in the stroller as well. ?I think she wants to be held and now realizes that the carseat (in all its "snugness") isn't momma. ?:( Sigh.

    My DD absolutely hated the car for about 2 weeks when she was about your LOs age. I thought I would go mad. She screamed almost the whole time I drove for that 2 weeks. Then all of a sudden, thank god, she got over it. Now she rarely fusses.

    You can try a car seat toy to see if it entertains him enough to keep him from crying...
