Transitioning from formula to whole milk?

Did you go cold turkey or mix the formula and mik first?  My DS is currently on Gentlease and we are trying to transition him to organic whole milk.  Any tips?

    my DD is only 9 months so I have not transitioned her yet but I have read that mixing the 2 is the way to go. also, gradually increase the milk to formula ratio until they are on 100% milk. good luck!
