Need help explaining to DS how to poop in the potty!!

I know it sounds crazy, but DS has finally gotten to the point where he really wants to poop in the potty, but he just for whatever reason doesn't seem to be able to.  He comes running telling me that he has to poop (doesn't do that for pee yet), and we go and sit and sit and sit on the potty and read lots of books, but nothing happens.  I KNOW he has to go.  He has a very regular poop schedule and I can tell by his demeanor and actions that he does really need to go, but when he sits on the potty its like that urge goes away.  I'm not sure how to help him.  Any suggestions??

I tell Nora to try to "toot it out."  That seems to help her.

I agree with the PP.  Get him comfortable tooting on the potty.  Make a game out of it and laugh together when it happens.  Let him wander around bottomless with you nearby.  When he looks like he's about to poop, run him to the bathroom to poop on the potty.
