I should know this since I have been BF for 2 months now, but...
My DD only feeds on one side at a time. If I feed her on both sides in a single feeding, which one do I start with next time? For example, I just fed her 15 min on left and 10 min on right...which side do I start with next time?
Re: switching sides
Make sure your DD really drains one breast before starting the other, even if that means you're using only one side per feeding. She needs to access the hindmilk, which only transfers after the foremilk is exhausted.
My DS usually only nurses on one side per feeding, but he spends 30+ minutes draining it. If he's still hungry, we'll change sides, but I know he'll get mostly foremilk once we switch.
Do make sure you switch sides at the next feeding, even if one breast produces more, so that you keep the supply up on both sides.
