The soreness isn't bothering me as much as the itching! ugh. Any home remedies I can do without using the over the counter stuff? (OB wants me to get it checked on Monday before using any monistat or anything) TIA!
Aside from probiotics and natural yogurt, i've heard a cup of vinegar in a warm bath does the trick. I've never tried it though. I would definitly stay away from anything sugary, fruits too and eat lots of greens.
externally, aloe gel. like the green stuff you buy for sunburn... helps with the itching. and it's pretty mild stuff, shouldn't be any issues with use.
don't know if it'll cure the yeast infection, but it may just help you hang in until you see the doc monday!
Re: Home remedies for yeast infection?
Try eating yogurt that has ascidophilus (sp?) in it.
And for the itching, you can try sitting on an ice pack.
My thoughts exactly! At least 2 servings a day (once in the morning, again in the afternoon).
Vagisil powder, gold bond, or baby powder can help absorb the moisture and keep the itching down some, too.
I would hold off on this if the doctor is checking you in the AM. Ice will help, though!
