One more stomach bug question-please answer!

Poor DD has had a stomach virus since Thursday. It looks like she's finally feeling better, keeping down pedialyte and toast. DH and I leave for a vacation/work trip to europe on Wednesday morning. I am freaking out that we'll get sick too. It'd be one thing if it was a close and short trip, but this is more involved.

So, have you ever had a stomach virus go through your house and not everyone got sick? I feel like a b!tch asking, but I really don't want to be sick right before we leave.

My friends DD has the stomach bug a few weeks ago and she nor her husband never got it.  She said she just washed her hands like a crazy lady and lysol-ed everything.  Good Luck.

yes, I have been sick and no one else has gotten it. Keep washing your hands. You might want to bring a pill with you on your trip that eases nausea, just in case...

Yes, I got it last year and nobody else did.

All 3 of my girls got it a couple of weeks ago and DH and I stayed healthy.  I felt a little off but never got sick (and I think cleaning up after 3 sick kids could explain why I felt a bit queasy!).

It's definitely possible! Wash your hands a lot, no kisses on the mouth and just try to keep all surfaces clean. I washed sheets and towels much more often, and just tried to be a neatfreak!

Yes, it rolled through our house last month, and my DH was the only one not to get it.

I am very diligent about washing my hands & keeping the bathroom bleached if it is used frequently for vomit/loose poops, etc. I usually won't get it if DH or DD has it.

Both of my kids have had it... the little one has been pooping for 5 days, Ethan had it for 3 days...... ?So far DH and I are ok.
