Around here the name Evelyn is becoming popular, but for the nn they use the name Evie. So my question is-How do you pronounce Evie? Do you say it with the short e sound or with the long e sound? Thanks!

"Ee-V." In my honest opinion, I HATE nicknames. Evelyn is a gorgeous name and if I were to pick that name for my child, I'd just call her Evelyn.

I've heard both.  We call our Evelyn by her full name or sometimes just "Ev."  We want her to be introduced/known as Evelyn, though.
