Babies: 9 - 12 Months

If you have Direct TV....

do you get the BabyFirst TV channel?  We just got Direct TV and I came across this channel for babies :)  We can get it for $5.00 extra a month and was wondering if it was worth it?

Looks pretty good!

  • Has a lot of educational programs for babies. They also do activities that you can do with your child. My DD loves this channel. If my DD is not paying attention to the tv and hears the music of her favorite show she gets excited. Then is looking around for the TV that has it on. It's a great baby sitter too. It gives me a break to do some chores around the house while she is in her pnp watching it.

  • We don't pay for it, mainly because I don't want ds to watch tv so having a whole channel devoted to babies isn't for us. We don't let him watch anything. My friend had it and enjoyed it for her son, but he loves tv.

  • Can I just say how hilarious it is that you've got your baby's picture with a bunch of Hooters girls? ?That made me LOL. ?He'll cherish that when he's older- DH got his picture with a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader when he was like 7 and he's still got the picture in his dresser drawer. ?;)

Personally, I don't think I'd pay for a channel like that since babies really shouldn't be watching a ton of TV anyway. ?We've got a few Baby Einstein DVDs so he watches a half hour every other day or so....but I don't think I'd pay for an extra channel just for him. ?JMO!

  • It's on DISH also, but I think its ridiculous that I would have to oay an extra $5.00 for ONE channel! It should already come with the package that I have.
