Babies: 9 - 12 Months

teething biscuits

DD tried to eat some of my pretzels yesterday as she was really gumming them, but I was so paranoid she was going to choke, so I took it from her.  She does not like puffs.  Is their a good teething biscuit I can get her?

  • We started giving my DS the Gerber biter biscuits around 6.5 months and he LOVES them! They also do zweiback toast and wagon wheels, if you want to give those a try too.
  • I actually gave DD some of the Gerber biscuits today, and she loved them.  It kept her occupied for a good 15 minutes.  Warning--they are VERY MESSY!
  • I have bought some Gerber teething biscuits.  We haven't given dd any yet (she doesn't have any teeth.)  DH tried one (he tries everything) and he's actually worried because he said he's never eaten anything that hard!

You don't really need teeth to eat them.  DD only has two teeth.  The babies just suck on them, the biscuits get soggy, then they slowly but surely eat away at the soggy part.
