need rug for nursery

We want carpet in the nursery and rather than pay to have carpet installed,  DH figured since the room isnt that big we could save a few hundred  and do like an 8x10 solid color area rug. The only problem...every website I check only has persian or weird patterned area rugs. Any suggestions where to find just a plain rug?

I got a JCPenny baby catalog and they had a ton of plain carpets.  My mom bought a rug for my old room at Home Depto, you can try there too.

I know overstock adn target have a lot of rugs, maybe try there?

An area rug is a really good idea though.... I know I'm going to be buying one because the room that I'm using as the baby's room has a really old-school blue swirly carpet in it, and it definitely needs some coverup... lol

We found one we loved at Home Depot.  Just plain off white, that really shaggy type of weave.  You can order it in your size and it was only about $100 for the size you mentioned

If all else fails, go to a local carpet warehouse, tell them the size you want and they can do the binding around the edges for you.  I had hardwood floors that needed refinishing in a previous house but we weren't ready to take on the project.  I went to a carpet warehouse, found a carpet remnant (it was cheap because it was a remnant) then I had them bind the edges (they charge by the foot so Small rugs cost very little)

Check FLOR. com.  They are carpet tiles that you canbuild in cool colors or patterns in a variety of softness.  They even send free samples.  We have them in our house and will order them again for the nursery.
