Re: Felt the First Kicks!!

  • That's awesome! I can't wait to feel kicks! That was the best part (besides my DS) of being pregnant the first time IMO!

  • i swore i felt my first kicks yesterday during a really boring training session! it felt like little popcorn pops...i know it's still sort of early so i'm not expecting to feel it consistently for a while, but i think part of why i felt it was because i was sitting so quietly and not being distracted...sounds like you were in the same boat!
  • Yeah, I had forgotten when I felt the first kicks with my other pregnancies.  But I remember that I felt them earlier and earlier.  Its soo cool isn't it??

  • Considering I've been pregnant 7 times I think I've figured out the diff between gas and kicks!

  • Yeah, I believe you. My doctor asked me Wednesday if I'd felt any movement - and I'm only 11 weeks! I haven't yet, but obviously she wouldn't have asked if it wasn't possible. And all the books & articles say anywhere from 12-26 weeks, because everyone's different. CONGRATS!! :)
  • At 13 weeks? I will be paying attention to my body very closely, if you were able to feel them at 13 weeks, I'm at 12 weeks. Might be kind of hard considering I'm a very gassy person, so trying to determine gas from kicks may be hard for me. You know, when I was 10 weeks the doctors assistant asked me if I could feel kicking. I looked at her as if she was out of her friggen mind! Maybe she was testing me.

  • I think that is really special!  WOW!! I have noticed tons of inconsistencies in my couple of books and both of them say around 18-20 weeks you should feel movement. So all of this info is interesting. I will have to pay better attention! I have sworn during the past week. I have felt something a couple of times. Not really a kick, but more of a sensation or movement. I had terrible gas at first and this has subsided. So, I guess you never know!
  • wow i didnt think it was possible that early...the norm is 16-22w...I was about 17...however, congrats :)

My doctor said as early as 12 weeks; it's totally kicking!

I am so excited, 13 weeks doesn't seem that far away :)

  • I've never understood this whole gas vs kicks thing.  I've never had gas that felt even remotely close to what I might confuse as a kick..its usually stabbing pains that keep me from moving, I'm really hoping kicks don't feel like that!
