DD is having a hard time with poop now that we have started cereal. I have mixed in apple sauce and/or prune puree hoping to get things a-movin'. I don't remember when I started juice with #1, so help me out.
At what age are you/have you introduced juices to your LOs diet?
ps-- she isn't interested in breast milk after she eats cereal.
Re: Are you giving diluted juice to your 6mth old?
My Amelia
has cronic constipation so I give her 2 oz juice with 2 ox water every day. We started that at about 6 months.
She doesn't drink it all usually but I like to offer the full 4 oz.
That is so crazy-sounding??? But I'm sure it makes sense in the medical world....

Applesauce actually isn't a great thing to give when your child is constipated. It contains a high level of pectin, which firm up stool. When we first started solids, pear juice helped out a lot with my DD. We don't give juice right now on a regular basis, though; we haven't had to use it since she was six months old. I don't plan on giving it to her until she's older, though. Just a preference.??
Hopefully our Amelia decide to get things moving!
Also, I buy the Gerber baby applejuice. It doesnt have sugar and crap in it.
