Does anyone plan on having the baby share a room with a sibling (or two)?
We only have a 2 bedroom apt so baby will be shacking up with SD(age 3) & SS(age 2). Right now their room doesn't have a "theme"...just the two toddler beds, a dresser, futon (which is leaving ASAP) and a TON of toys. I know we have the floor space to fit a crib & maybe a glider but as for storage space for all 3 kids clothes I'm fighting the impossible. I think I might convert the dresser into a changing table as well.
I'm going to pick a gender-neutral theme but was wondering if anyone has done this before & had some suggestions? Or even pictures?
TIA!
Re: Sharing a room?
My 2, soon to be 3 kids share a small room. Here is how we are coping...
-bunk beds w/ a trundle under the lower bunk. For the time being the trundle is where 2yr old DD sleeps but when baby comes into the room the trundle will be storage (clothes for the older kids) & the 4yr old (5 by then) will move to the top bunk & the younger will be on the bottom bunk.
-the crib we bought has a drawer under it & will hold baby clothes
-the closet has a double rod all the way across so we can maximize that space
-the dresser is the changing table & will store baby stuff & underwear/pjs for the older kids.
-we keep virtually all toys out of their room...we have a basement playroom where the majority of the toys are. Additional upstairs toys go in the buffet in the dining room & coffee table (which is like a chest/trunk).
-we have 1 bookcase that may or may not return to their room
-we use a shoe storage thing that hangs on the door for their shoes
-it will basically be gender neutral since we don't know the sex of DC#3, I'll post pics in a seperate post...it's in process.
