Hi ladies, I posted this on TTTC after 35, but thought I could get some feedback here too. Quick intro, I have two children - a 13 year old DD, and a 15 month old DS. I had one m/c before DS, and two afterwards - my most recent one in January. We started seeing an RE last month and had some testing done (karyotyping on both of us; RPL b/w; CD3 b/w, and a hysterosonogram). Last night was our follow up visit. Seems that we are mostly "normal" - but my FSH level was slightly elevated at 10.9; she said they like it to be less than 10. I wonder if this is the reason for our m/c's.
Anyone else with multiple miscarriages have an elevated FSH? Anyone go on to have a successful pregnancy?
I read a few posts about FSH and saw wheatgrass mentioned; I'd love more info on that if anyone has used that for better luck w/TTC.
Thanks ladies!
Re: Question about FSH levels & TTC...
I've lost five from Sept '07-Dec '08. ?The only one we know why was due to Turner's. ?FSH was around 7 in May '08 and just over 10 in Oct. ?I think it is more common that it causes problems getting pregnant, rather than staying pregnant, although we didn't experience that. ?So far, so good on this one--including the NT scan this week where baby looks completely normal and preliminary blood work was fab. ?I'm just being treated for hypothyroid and MTHFR.
There was a website--I think highfsh.com--they had good info there. ?We didn't do anything about the FSH, although the RE wanted to do fertility drugs and trigger ovulation because he felt I was on the verge of not ovulating. ?That one was a chemical pregnancy and the treatment was unnecessary. ?Good luck!?
