Diaper question

I remember someone posted about this a while ago but I went to buy diapers, i use pampers, and they were the same price as always but $20 for 76 diapers. I knew that was not right and checked some old boxes that i have for storage and i use to get 96 diapers for $20, then it went down to 80 for $20 and now its 76. I can't remember what the previous post said about this, but is there anything we can do? this is crazy that i am paying the same price as i have been and getting less diapers, that is crap

Is this for the same size diapers?   I know some packages are getting smaller.....lots of products are doing this unfortunately

yep, its for the same size diapers. I understand the way the economy is and for some companies to stay open, they have to do things like this, but it really sucks.

Yep.  Many brands are doing this, and products in general, hoping customers won't notice.

I found this to be my problem as well so I actually ordered some from Diapers.com and was very happy with the service. We use Pampers Swaddlers in size 1-2 and we got 2 boxes of them. Each box has 234 diapers and it was $41.99 each. Free shipping too which was nice.

I do know that Sams also has larger boxes for around $38 but I only have a Costco membership and was not sure if I need both memberships.

Yes this is what the major manufacturers are doing to cut costs.  IMO, it is totally crappy, but apparently they've gradually lowered the number of diapers in a box each year.  Pampers and Huggies are the biggest offenders.  Babycheapskate has mentioned it a few times.  I've been buying in bulk at BJ's.  With their store coupon, I've been getting the Luvs size 4's for about $25 for a huge box w/ more diapers in it than even their store brand.

Yeah, this really makes me mad.  I understand why they are doing it, but you know when things improve, they aren't going to go back to having more diapers in the box!  What annoys me the most is that I have to buy diapers so much more frequently.  Just keep your box size the same and increase the price.

i guess i need to look into getting a costco or sams membership because this just stinks. I understand why, but still, most everyone is hurting financially and could use a break. I would rather pay a few dollars more for more diapers than the same price for less.
