I think it is so sad that

everyone feels the need to prove they are real people. I've seen this sentiment numerous times today throughout the various posts. But we've been hit w/ 2 imposters in a month's time. It's ridiculous. And as someone said earlier, what's to stop her from coming back as someone else??

I will admit, I saw a newbie pop on and introduce herself earlier, and I thought to myself "is this another fake reinventing herself under another screen name?" I don't remember the new posters screen name but it's hard not to think that way.

Re: I think it is so sad that

  • I'm not real.  I'm actually a really skinny, gay guy who likes to pretend I'm a fat chick in love with Donnie Wahlberg!  ;)
  • This has been a good reminder to me that I need to be less trusting. Does it suck? Yeah, but it's reality.

Will I ignore posts if I don't "know" the person? Of course not. But I also won't friend them on FB. LOL.

  • My cover was actually blown years ago. A few of you know on here that I'm a middle aged balding guy in Arizona not a mum in Australia at all.

Seriously, what annoys me is how people care so much. I don't give a lot of my personal details on here, but if I did you betcha I would fictionalise a few harmless ones for protection. To me that's not faking that's sensible.

And I don't need to prove I'm a real mum with a real kid. If you want to think I'm not that's fine with me. And I don't really care if any of you are fakes eitther. Its the communication that counts, who its with doesn't much matter.?

  • Making stuff up to protect yourself or your "real identity" is one thing.  Making up lies to make it seem like you "fit in" or to get attention is another thing.  Especially when it involves being PG and using other people's photos to try to pass it off as real.
  • I'm real...my brother graduated with your DH and you both used to work with me.
