MIL is Oma (German for MIL).  My mom is Grandma but DD calls her "Mahmaw".  My great-grandmother was Mimi so that's an option too.

  • My parents will be Gram and Gramp (that's already what my nephew calls them).  I don't know what my IL's will be - probably just Gramma and Grampa.  But I really like the German Oma and Opa.
  • My 6 year old calls my mom memaw so that's what this one will call her. She had a hard time with being called grandma since she was so young when I had my son. She is only 49 now.
  • I'm not sure what our parents have decided on. I just wanted to add that one of my BFFs calls her grandma "Gummy."
  • My mom was the same way when my brother had my niece. My niece calls her Gammy and it is so cute, so that is what my son will call her, Gammy.
  • My DH mom is Omi (o-me)

    And my mom is nana

  • My mom is Filipina, so my daughter will call her lola for the traditional grandma name there. I love it!! My best friend's son calls her mother darling instead of grandma....it is adorable and way better than grandma, which would not fit her at all :)
  • Mema for my mom and papa for my dad. I'm not sure what they will call DH parents we don't see them alot.
