Oh, that's right, it's me having this baby.  I almost couldn't tell with all the comments about when I should be having this baby according to my mother.  I will be 37 weeks even on Friday and she's like, "oh, that would be a good day to have the baby" "the first day of spring".  I was like, "pregnancy is about 40 weeks for a reason, there is no need to kick him out just because he's 37 weeks." 

So she says "well, that's just an average anyway, he could come anytime, blah blah". Honestly, I think she just wants him to come early so she can say  that my pregnancy is more like hers was. I was 5.5 weeks early as the first, and my brother was three weeks early as the second. I think she just wants to be like "see, you had your babies like I did, I told you you would go like I did"

Which is, of course how she has been the whole pregnancy. "you follow your own mother, and I had this/did this/experienced this, so you will too" 

Meanwhile, I have had GD, I have not needed to be induced (so far) my first child is a boy and I have had a host of other issues that are not even remotely the same.  Grrrr... Different woman= different pregnancy, is it that hard to imagine???

My mom is praying I don't have the same type of pregnancy she had with me...and I love her for it!  She had pre-e that put her in the hospital for 3 weeks before I was born.  They claim I was a month early but I was born as a heavy weight...8 lbs 3 oz.  I think they got that due date wrong.

I hope she gets her wish for me!

Just say no to Pre-e!

I am so thankful I did not have my mother's pregnancy....her water broke at 32 weeks with twins, I was breach, came out blue, and we were in the hospital for 3 weeks afterwards...No thanks!
