June- I was just thinking the same thing. The first thing that pops into my head when I think of "moist" is cake yum! I dont get the problem with it! I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesnt think this is a strange word.

Well, I'm not a big fan on cake in general. I only eat it if its given to me at a wedding or birthday party and at that only a few bites. I would probably say that it was delicious -- I avoid saying moist if at all possible. To me, moist connotes yeast infection.

Yeah, when I hear that word the first thing that comes to mind is cake and I would never describe my nether regions as moist.
Re: If you hate "moist"...
I looked up synonyms for moist and I'm still ROTFL because none of them would apply to baked goods: damp, wet, humid, soggy, clammy and tacky.
Can you imagine, "Please have a piece of my outrageously delicious clammy chocolate cake?"
OK, what would you use instead? I'm sincerely curious.
good...yummy...tasty...since when I would say the "m" word it is a compliment on the taste anyways :-)

OMG I HATE THIS WORD...it is sooo gross! If someone describes anything as "m word" I literally cannot eat it, I gag!
I just say, my cake is really good - not dry at all....most people get it, and most who know me know never to use this word around me....
I also hate mucous, phlegm, penetrate and sputum....shudder....
