I didn't freeze it since I didn't want it to thaw on the travel time home. Depending on the hotel, I'd have a mini fridge, or if I stayed in a Residence Inn, I'd have a full fridge. The mini's tend to run VERY cold and they would be close to freezing.
I would bring 11oz large bottles and pour each days milk into the large ones so I could ration later into the 4oz bags I wanted them in. (so my pump bottles wer always free to use during the day.) Then I'd just lie them flat in the fridge and pack them flat too in my cooler bag for the flight home.
