NBR: what does cv mean?

So, I sent my resume and cover letter off for a part-time job with a small company.  The CEO emails me back and asks me to attach my coverletter and cv.  What the heck is a cv?  The funny thing is that I did attach both my coverletter and my resume.  Makes me wonder how sharp this person is!  LOL

It stands for curriculum vitae. 

It is a comprehensive listing of your professional history.  So it has every academic achievements, publications, employment, etc.

A CV is basically a resume (I think it stands for curriculum vitae, but I'm not sure);  they use that term in the UK, and maybe Canada.

Thanks!  That's what I thought it meant, since the job posting specifically asked for both a coverletter and a resume!  Maybe he's just having a bad day!

I bet he wants you to attach the cover letter again so that he has both together.  Good luck!
