Ugg still have ear infection

Robbie had his 3rd ear recheck to see if the infection was gone and he still has it. It was first diagnosed right before he was 9 months old so now he has had it for a Month. And he has been on 2 different antibiotics for it. I am so tired if giving him medication and Dr appts. Dr suggested taking him out of daycare like that is an option when we both work full time.

Any tips for keeping kids ear infection free?

I just feel like such a bad Mommy that I can't stay home with him so that he does not get sick.

I don't have an answer for you -- just wanted to say I'm sorry for you and Robbie.  I can't imagine how frustrating that must be for you, and painful for him.  Poor little man!

He must have got his right around the same time as Kaylin got hers. I feel for you! Ear infections are NO fun for mama or baby

Kaylin had hers for about 3 weeks. We tried amoxicillin (sp?) with no luck. Then we got zithromax and that did the trick. It is relatively new on the market. Did you guys already try this one?

As far as preventative for the future, our doctor recommended avoiding bottles and sippys as much as possible. We switched her to a free flowing training cup. It is the Born Free one and she loves it. A little messy so she can't be left alone with it or she will waste all of her milk.
