Born Free bottle nipples - cloudy??

It seems like the level 2 nipples that I've been using look cloudier than the used to. Is this normal? I have been sticking them in the dishwasher every once in a while - does the heat do this? I thought that only rubber nipples deteriorate, not silicone - but maybe I am wrong!

    Are you using breastmilk? If so, it's probably the oils from the milk. When mine get like that I get new nipples.

    Ours get cloudy after a while. I think the dishwasher makes them turn cloudy faster.

    A few weeks ago I replaced all of our level 1s with level 2s and they're already cloudy... but ours go in the dishwasher all the time.

    Our BF nips are a bit cloudy too.  They are almost always washed in the dishwasher.  I personally am not too concerned b/c I know they are clean.

    Our nipples get cloudy if I run then through the dishwasher. I give them a quick rinse when the cycle is done and let them air dry and they are clear again.
