TTC After a Loss

Question about post ovulation ultrasound

I am going in for a follow-up appointment this afternoon--when I saw the Dr. last Thursday, he said I was not ready to ovulate.  Well, I think I ovulated last night.  So what will the Dr. be able to see at the internal ultrasound?

And--let me preface this by saying that I am an idiot--would the ultrasound and the lubricant he uses harm the sperm that might be in there still?

Re: Question about post ovulation ultrasound

  • He should be able to tell if you did ovulate.

I'm not sure about the lubricant they use being harmful, I would ask.

  • I agree that he should be able to tell if you ovulated. As for what's already up there, the little guys you want to be okay are already up past the cervix and the ultrasound wand won't be going there, so it's probably not an issue.?
oh please. not KU. effed up.
  • I heard they use PRESEED anyway : ) That's real - it's no joke. Preseed won't harm you - or the little guys...  But - make sure by asking the Dr or tech.

I don't think my Dr. does. He uses some blue goopity-goop.  We bought some PreConceive Plus to use this cycle.  Maybe I should take it with me.  ; )

  • yes they can tell if you ovulated by checking your ovaries...they can see where your egg dropped from...

Also....they can just use plain water to do the u/s.....they did that when they did an u/s for me prior to the IUI....
