1st Birthday Party ?

Can anyone please share what kind of activites or games you had at your DC's 1st birthday?  My son is going to be 2 and the majority of the kids at my daugther's 1st bday will be 2 as well.

Not sure what to do.

I think a clown will scare them.

Any ideas?

We did the zoo for her first birthday.  If you are having it at home maybe bubbles, a playcenter with playdough and some music?  For my dd's 2nd birthday, we did a pool party.
