I am having a hard time coming up with ideas for nursery wall art. We're not really doing a theme and our main colors are blue tones (slate, ice, greyish/blue) with some color injections. So far, we will have (we haven't purchased it yet but plan to) the nice framed picture/"certification" of the star we're buying for our LO, but that is about it. I cannot do decals due to the texture of the walls.
I am just not sure what I'd like to put up and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or websites I could look at for inspiration aside from decals and wooden letters? TIA.
Re: Nursery Walls?
a friend of mine is doing a painting for our nursery, and i decoupaged some wooden letters - wanted to do something a bit different.
for some inspiration - i'd check out project nursery or rate my space.
this website has some cool stuff too: https://www.hipkidart.com/
also, for me it's been helpful to think outside the box a bit when it comes to nursery decor. just because it's a nursery, doesn't mean everything needs to come from a baby store. gl!
Here are some options:
1. Baby's name with letters
2. Go to Michael's/JoAnn's and buy scrap book paper then frame it..cute easy way and you can find the colors you want (hopefully)
3. For our DD room, I just did a lot of different sized pic frames, then filled with pics of her along the way. I have one vertical one that has 3 openings - in the first is a pic of her side profile/ear, the second has a picture of her hands, the 3rd a pic of her feet (all in black/white). I then have a cute bulletin board with pics of her family/friends. I also did a thick wall ledge that has various items on it....vintage mirror, small picture, stuffed lamb, and her initials in small wooden letters. I usually just go to TJMaxx and search around - they always have cute stuff to throw together....hope this helps.
