My husband and I have been cordially disagreeing on names from the start. But today I told him I liked Emmory, and he actually liked it and said that it was the best one I've picked out so far. So maybe she'll be named Emmory June, June after my mom. What do you think? My son was not a problem naming, boys are so much easier. A couple other names l like are Morgan, Emelia, Scarlet, and Ava. But I like Emmory, it's different but still sounds feminine. I'm not sure how I want to spell it still. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Re: Houston, we might have a name....
Ha. I love the "cordially disagreeing." I might have to use that....
I believe it's often spelled Emory, but usually as a masculine name. I'm not sure if there's a feminine spelling. I've never particularly liked the name for some reason. It's nice enough, but it makes me think of an older man, not a cute baby girl.
I love Emelia/Amelia and Ava.
emmory is a very weird spelling...I have never seen it that way.
I think it is usually spelled Emmery or emery.
It's a cute name though!
I like Emelia (or just Emily). Scarlet is pretty, but I'm not sure I like it with June.
I do like Emory with one "m". But my favs are Scarlet, Ava, and Emilia. Emilia June is my favorite combo using June as a middle name.
The name is NMS but if you are going to use it, please use "Emory" or "Emery", not the double m spelling. It looks very odd that way.
June is a lovely middle name.
I am not a fan of Emery/Emory. Everytime I hear it I think of an emery board. I wouldn't want to name my child after a nail file.
June is a lovely name. It is not commonly used at the moment. She won't be one of 5 Junes in her class. How about June as the first name?
Ditto. Emory is a large medical school and hospital in Atlanta. It looks really odd spelled Emmory to me. I love June though.
It is traditionally a boy's name, spelled Emery.
For that reason, I really don't like it for a girl.
June is a great name for a little girl!
I like June a lot, is was my Grandmother's name. Emmory is nms though, but I would spell is Emery if you did use it.
Emmory?
I'm not sure how I feel about the double m's. I like the name though.
