    Oh yeah he was! OMG, that makes me tear up for some reason...even knowing he's absolutely perfectly healthy now.

    DS' feet were purple for the longest time.  Not an issue at all but it still made me crazy.

    That must have been scary :(

    A little scary, but I knew he'd be ok.  Mostly it was lonely.  DH went with him to NICU while I was still in surgery, DH popped in a couple times in recovery with updates and pictures of him.  DH spent most of his time with him to keep him company, so my room was very quiet.  It felt wrong.

    Yeah definitely not what you imagined your hospital stay would be like, I'm sure. 

    It would feel very unnatural to just have given birth but to not have the baby with you. 

    On another note, love his hair, it almost looks red?  Definitely kind of strawberry...so different than your DD (although they do look alike to me).
