NPR-computer question

DH was looking at the Dell deals in the flyer over the weekend and said about ordering one, I know nothing about computers.. does this sound like a good/ok computer-

Dell Inspiron 530

-Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E7400, - Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium, SP1 (64-Bit), - 4 GB Memory, 500 GB Hard Drive, - Dell 20" Widescreen Flat Panel (S2009W), -Plays and Creates CDs adn DVDs, -30 Days of McAfee SecurityCenter, - Dell Premium laser Mouse, - Free Shipping.

DH would like ot put one of his computer hunting games on it, but other then that we just want it basically for searching the internet, email and i like to shop online (old navy, gap, ect)

Re: NPR-computer question

  • ok, forgive my lack of knowledge, but a Mac?? is that like a Macintosh??

Is there anything specific i should be looking for with a computer?? I have no idea what 4 GB... 500 GB.. any of that means... help??  :-)

  • I LOVE Mac computers, and now you can buy them at BestBuy, which is handy. ?The very best thing about them is that you don't need virus protection because they just don't get viruses. ?Also, they come with great software (iPhoto is amazing for pictures), and they are really, really easy to use.
  • I have a Dell Laptop and I hate it!!! The screen is really flimsy, it has already cracked and it drains batteries like crazy. DH is in the IT field. He has an HP and LOVES it.
  • Check the specifications on your DH's game. If it coverswhat's described on the PC description, it will work fine.

It is a very good spec PC for what you want otherwise.
