Nurseries and Baby Gear

Need help finding rugs.

All the floors in my house are hard wood, so I'm in need of a nice large rug for the Nursery. But I'm having trouble, all the rugs I'm finding are too small and way over priced, and I'm not finding anything cute either.

I'm thinking about just getting a pink or yellow rug, but I haven't been able to find anything nice like that either. Anyone know any good places or sites to go rug shopping at?

Re: Need help finding rugs.

  • If I could buy rugs anywhere it would be Crate and Barrel and Pottery Barn. But they are totally my style, yours?

As far as on a cheaper budget I have found some seriously cute rugs at Pier 1 and Cost Plus.

And you could always check out Target. They have been known to have some rug gems in there!

  • Ikea is good for inexpensive rugs and FLOR (google it) sells tiles that you stick to each other to make a rug. FLOR has a better selection of colors, but can get a little pricey depending on the size and which tiles you choose.

  • i'm not sure how large of a room you have, but we just purchased the TOY POODLE rug in color POM POM Pink for our little girls room from www.flor.com and i LOVE it! ?you purchase by tiles so you can control the price and size of the rug. ?here was my inspiration...

  • TJ Maxx and Marshals seem to have the best prices on quality rugs that I have found.  GL.
  • i hated looking at rugs- everything was either ugly or too expensive in the size we wanted. we ended up getting flor tiles- we got the equivalent of an 8x10 rug for about $150. not the plushest/softest rug, but if you put a rug pad under it would work well. pics in blog.
