2am-6am--DD doesn't sleep!

the last 3 nights DD has gotten up at 2am, i've fed her, and she stays awake.  about half that time she is fussy and kinda crying, the other half she is just very awake and looking around.  can't get her to go back to bed for the life of me until about 6am, when she sleeps til about 9am.  please, dear sweet lord, let this not be a routine.  at about 4am i'm on autopilot.

She probably has her days and nights mixed up. DD had a short period of this but she adjusted quickly. We made sure to keep things loud and bright during the day and dark and quiet at night.

My DD sleeps from about midnight to about 3 then it's every hour she is awake. Last night was a different story. She woke up at 3:30 then was awake every 20 to 40 mins. This was after she really didn't take a nap yesterday for more than a half an hour. Ugh!

DD used to have trouble sleeping between 3-6am.  She would just seem to grunt and groan around the entire time.  She was trying to sleep but just wasn't able to.  Someone told me (I would have NEVER believed this...) that babies being fed between 2-3am do this whether its caused by gas or something else.  Well ever since she changed her feeding patterns at night - used to be every 3 hours (9, 12, 3, 6) - this has stopped.  She now goes to bed around 8, up at 1 to eat then back to bed around 6 when she eats again.  But that has only changed within the last 3-4 weeks.  Up until she was about 8 weeks, she did this every night like clockwork and it was BEYOND frustrating!!  She just had to outgrow it.
