DD has had a very runny nose and cold all week, and her favorite stuffed animal -her Care Bear.....is pretty gross! I don't think 'surface cleaning' is going to do the trick so I'm thinking about throwing it in the washer on the gentle cycle. Has anyone does this? How does the bear come out? I don't want to ruin it -but do need it clean.....
thanks for your input!
Re: Has anyone machine-washed a Care Bear?
When I was little mom used to put my dolls in the wash inside of pillow case. She said it was a safer ride. Now with DD I put her bear in a pillowcase to wash and we have a front loader. Her bear still feels like a brand new bear when it comes out the wash (we got a new one as backup thats how I can tell) granted the bear will never be as white again:-P
Edit: I put it on the dry rack for drying.
