EPers

What do you do when you go out for the day? Do you plan your day in time to be back to your house within 3 hours or so to pump or do you just go about your day and pump as soon as you get home. I am worried that if I go to long without pumping my supply will start going down.?

I am FF because I just dont make enough. Right now I pump about 1-2oz every 3 or so hours. I add what little I make to his formula. I would love to be able to give him only BM, but right now he eats way more then I can pump.

?Anyways, just wanted to see how you go out about your day.

?

Thanks?

  • you gotta plan going out around pumps. or bring the pump along. you HAVE TO pump early on ON SCHEDULE if you are going to get a good supply

Ditto this.  If you're already having issues, you really should pump every 2 hours if at all possible.  I got my freedom somewhat back when I figured out how to pump and drive at the same time.  Hands free bra, car adapter for my PISA, and a hooter hider.  I just park a little "further" away from everyone else, and I hook up before I move.  I live in Cinci, and it seems everywhere I go takes 20-30 minutes, so the pumping time is perfect.

  • My pump has a car adapter and if DH and I are going to be out, he drives and I pump!  But yes, I had to plan outings around pumping.  But having an adapter and also going to friends houses who understood I needed a quiet room made it a LOT easier.

    same here!

  • ditto everyone else, you have to schedule life around pumping for a little while. It sucks. (no pun intended)
