What is with all the I's ? It is hard to read on top of looking like it is a made up stripper name.
haha, I loved my friend's brother's name Kai, but I really wanted something for a girl. I didn't want Kylie, Kiley or other spellings, I guess I could spell it Kailee. I never thought of it as a made up stripper name though, but it puts a new view on it! Thanks!

When two vowels go walking, the first one does the talking!
Kay-lee.
It is confusing to me. And it does look Hawaiian.
Yes, this. But when I first saw it I actually thought I read "Kalil". I think it would be a difficult name for most anyone to get right, which isn't much fun for anyone (pardon the rhyme).
Kailey, Kaileigh, Kailee, Kailie are all possible spellings.
I think most people will say "Callie" or "Kay-lee" though, simply because those names are more common and it does look like how it should be pronounced.
FWIW I prefer the Hawaiian pronunciation only if you are Hawaiian.
Married in 2008 - DD born in 2010 - EDD 6.15.2012!
Hhmm, that's tough, it could go either way. I'd probably say Kay-lee at first glance but understand that Kai is pronounced Ki like sky... it's kind of a confusing spelling.
Re: Kaili pronounciation?
Kylie, like Kylie Minogue.

Yes, this is a common Hawaiian name, it is pronounced Kah-ee-lee with three syllables...
Is that what you're going for???
LOL. That's exactly how I thought of it, too.

Please. Don't. Unless you are in fact Hawaiin, don't do this to the kid.
Ky-lee and I don't mind it.

Ha! Exactly what I was thinking! Like bait, gait, rain, pain, etc....... Kaili = "Kay-lee"
Me too...Are we all teachers?
I'm from Hawaii and was raised here and have never seen this name. Kai, yes, Kaimi, yes, Kaili, no.
I have absolutely no clue how it's pronounced.
