Sophia was my top girl name until it became so popular. I still love it. It is gorgeous and so fitting for both a girl and a woman. If you go with one of those names, I vote for Sophia with nn Sophie. I like the mn Rose and Grace. Good luck!

I like Sophia better than Sophie. I think Sophia Charlotte, Sophia Caroline, Sophia Elise, and Sophia Josephine all sound nice. Go with a shorter middle if you have a very long last.
I don't just love Sophie or Sophia, they kind of still sound like old lady names to me (and I love a LOT of names that other people think sound like old lady names). But they're really popular, so I'm clearly in the minority.
Even though I *know* that Sophie is a stand alone name (and the French version of Sophia/Sofia), I feel like Sophie sounds like a nickname for Sophia, so I prefer Sophia with Sophie as the nickname.
I have two good friends with daughters named Sophie. One is Sophie Grace and the other is Sophie Claire. I like family names for middle names, though, so my suggestion would be to use your daughter's middle name to honor someone in your family.
DH and I love the name Sophia but we weren't sold on it because it's so popular right now. (turns out we're having a boy, so it's a moot point) We were also thinking of Sophia Marie.
Re: Two part question (opinions)
I like Sophia w/NN Sophie.
Sophia Marie is my fave.
I have always loved the names Sophia and Olivia..
If I have a girl I plan to name her Sophia Marie..
I just think Marie sounds so nice after Sophia, plus its my middle name!
I've always love that name ...
Sophia Grace
Sophia Rose
Sophia Elizabeth
Sophia Claire
1. Sophia and Sophie are nice enough names, but I wouldn't name my children those names.
2. I'd use a family name?

1. Both are super common. I prefer Sophia.
2. I might choose a family name for a middle name. Do you have any good choices in your family?
1. They're both very nice names. I think Sophie is a little less common these days than Sophia.
2. Sophie Louise, Sophie Mariah, Sophie Augusta, Sophie Beatrice, Sophie Ruth, Sophie Therese.
I like Sophia better, Sophie is always a nn option.
I like Sophia Louise, Sophia Grace, Sophia Claire. My friend has a DD named Sophia Ismene.

I like Sophia with Sophie as a nickname
Any one sylable name would sound good (Ann, Marie, Claire, etc)
I like both a lot and I think they both go well w/ lots of mn's.
Sophia/Sophie Grace
Sophia/Sophie Elisabeth
Sophia/Sophie Kate
Sophia/Sophie Claire
Sophia/Sophie Louise
Sophia/Sophie Rose
1. The names are absolutely adorable, but they have gotten too popular in the last few years.
2. I think Grace or Marie would be pretty with either first name.
I completely agree with this.
I'm a big fan of a formal first name and single syllable middle names ...
Sophia ...
Grace - Dawn - Claire - Kay - Anne - Faye - Paige - Hope - Eve ....
The Mouse ~ 06.12.08 | The Froggy ~ 02.23.11
1. What do you think of the name(s) Sophia/Sophie? I like it, but it's very popular right now.
2. What middle name would go with either of the two? I like family names for middle names...
sophia reminds me of the golden girls.
i am big on family names for middle names, but i also like sophie eloise for some reason. it just popped into my head, and i think it flows well.
