8 months and still no interest in crawling?

in Babies: 9 - 12 Months
DD rolls every.single.time we put her down for tummy time. She rolls like a pro but hasn't made one single step towards crawling. Not getting worried yet...even though a mom I met at the park the other day seemed incredulous that my 8 month old wasn't crawling. Anyone else in the same boat?

    DS just started crawling about a week ago.  It's fine.

    DD didnt crawl till 8.5months.  She showed no interest and literally learned it overnight.

    Max started crawling at 9 mos and Luke just started on Sunday.

    My 10 month old has literally only crawled once, and that was a couple of days ago when we put her down on her belly with an enticing toy a few feet away in front of her.  She gets anywhere she needs to go by a combination of rolling and pivoting on her belly.  Not all kids crawl.

    We were! DS just started crawling last week. He didn't even start showing interest in crawling until about a week before that. At the same time he started crawling, he finally was able to get into a sitting position on his own as well. I didn't think that would ever happen!

    DD started crawling at 9 months and 1 week. She really didn't make a lot of "steps" towards crawling, it all happened very quickly. Christmas she'd get on her hands and knees and that's about it, she crawled New years eve. So she really went from not seeming like she was ever going to crawl to crawling all over the house in just over a week.

    We are in the same boat.  DS will roll everywhere as soon as we put him down.  He was trying to crawl for a while (got up on his hands and knees) but hasn't shown any interest since he figured out he can roll everywhere he wants to go!

    DD's 10mos old and still has no interest in crawling......I don't know of many 8 month olds that crawl to be honest.
