Re: POLL: Would you have twins again

  • I LOVE the response!  Now if we could only be rich with perfect, healthy pregnancies - what a board this would be.
  • Okay, duh I just realized there were only 2 votes and I'm one of them.

  • We were so petrified to even have one more baby that DH got the snip 4 months after the trio was born, even though we aren't exactly having sex.  Our train of thought was we barely made it through having 3 without killing them or each other that why would we want all that stress and hell all over again?  I still can't wait until they get older; at least old enough to talk and understand.  Though over many conversations with my therapist, I've concluded that I'm just not one of the "newborn" lovers.  Give me a 3 year old any day.  So maybe I would think about having more multiples, even one more baby, if we adopted a 4 year old, LOL
  • My first response in my head was NO. Then I saw that it said without money issues or PTL etc.

I guess if I could have a magic wand and go back in time...I'd do it again if they weren't monos.

If the question is, would I do it again in ADDITION to what I have now...NO WAY IN HELL...

?so which is it meant to be??

  • I answered yes only because you said money wasn't an issue.  I'd hire help for sure.
  • I can't imagine NOT having twins. Now, I think I might sh!t a brick if we get pg with triplets though!
  • i answered yes, but here is my caveat: i'd have TWINS, but not triplets again. :)

  • Is the poll asking would we want a second set of twins/triplets?  Or is if you had to do it all over again, would you rather have multiples or singletons?

  • You know, I voted no, but then I was thinking ... if money really weren't an issue, then i could hire a nanny--especially a night nurse until they are STTN! ;) and a housekeeper--and in that case I think it might be cool to have a set of twin girls in a few years.

  • We would like to have just ONE more, so we do think we'll try to get pregnant again, and we know that we have to accept the reality it could be multiples. ?So, yes, we'd do it again, but I suppose we'd prefer not to... ?Does that make sense?? :)
  • Oops, I meant to edit instead of create a second post. Sorry about that!

  • Ok I have to admit that I voted Yes even though I don't really have twins yet..... I'm just so excited...

  • Either way...A second set of twins or regarding your first time...I meant it more of second set....

  • Well that depends.  Would I do it all over again for my first set?  YES.  Would I want twins in addition to the set I already have?  NO!
  • I said no b/c I'd prefer one baby if we decide to have more children however, i'd welcome 2 if that's the way they came.
  • Um, I DID have twins again!  The question I guess is would I have twins a THIRD time???!!  But I think it's safe to say that we are done!

  • Well, I have triplets and there is NO WAY I would be able to do that again!!!
  • The main reason I say yes is because I'd like to give my frozen embies a chance at survival.  I never ever in a million years thought this would be an issue for me but it gets more difficult with each passing day to think of "discarding" them.

Add to that that twins are an amazing gift and you've called our no $$ or PTL issues.  : )
